MIDTOWN / WEST MIDTOWN

Fox Theatre

Good to Know: Originally opened in 1929, the Fox Theatre is one of Atlanta's most recognizable historic venues. Guided tours are offered on select days for those interested in its architecture and history. The auditorium seats more than 4,600 guests and features Orchestra seating on the main floor with balcony seating above. Multiple concession bars are located throughout the theater with drinks and snacks.

📍 Located at: Peachtree Street & Ponce de Leon Avenue

👥 Capacity: 4,665 (Seated)

🅿️ Parking: Paid parking decks and surface lots are located within a few blocks of the theater. Parking can be purchased in advance for select lots when buying tickets. Arriving early is recommended, as traffic and parking delays are common before popular shows.

🚆 MARTA Access: North Avenue Station is about a 5-minute walk from the theater.

🍔 Food & Drinks: Publik Draft House is immediately adjacent to the Fox Theatre entrance. Livingston Restaurant + Bar is directly across the street inside the Georgian Terrace Hotel. Cypress Street Pint & Plate is just a few blocks away.

Smith's Olde Bar

Good to Know: Since opening in 1994, Smith's Olde Bar has become one of Atlanta's longest-running live music venues, hosting artists including David Bowie, John Mayer, Chris Stapleton, Luke Combs, Janelle Monáe, Zac Brown Band, Jason Isbell, and many more. The main floor features a full-service restaurant and bar with a small stage that hosts one of Atlanta's most popular weekly open mic nights, along with DJ nights and other events. Smith's also has two dedicated concert venues: the Atlanta Room on the main floor and the larger Music Room upstairs. Both feature full-service bars and host concerts throughout the week. Seating configurations vary by show, with some offering limited reserved tables or fully seated performances, although most shows are standing room.

City Winery

Good to Know: Located at Ponce City Market, City Winery is a seated concert venue where guests can enjoy full table service before and during the show. A full food menu, City Winery wines, and drinks from the full-service bar are served directly to your table. Seating configurations vary by event and may include General Admission, Stage Premier General Admission, or Reserved Seating assigned on the day of the event. Good to Know: Built in 1966, Center Stage is a historic Midtown entertainment complex featuring three venues under one roof: Center Stage, The Loft, and Vinyl. Center Stage is the largest venue and features tiered theater seating. The Loft is a standing-room venue with a full-service bar, while Vinyl is the smallest venue, offering standing room near the stage, a full-service bar, and a limited number of tables. Select shows offer pizza, and snacks are available at the bars.

Red Light Cafe

Good to Know: Red Light Café is an intimate listening room located in Amsterdam Walk near Piedmont Park. The venue hosts live music spanning jazz, Americana, folk, blues, funk, soul, and more, along with comedy, burlesque, and variety shows. Tables and seating create a relaxed concert experience, while a full-service bar and kitchen offer drinks and snacks during performances. Most events are all ages unless otherwise noted, and the venue is wheelchair accessible.

Atlanta Symphony Hall

Good to Know: Atlanta Symphony Hall is located within the Woodruff Arts Center, home to the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, High Museum of Art, and Alliance Theatre. The venue features three seating levels—orchestra, lower balcony, and upper balcony—and all performances are seated. Beer, wine, cocktails, and non-alcoholic beverages are available at concession bars. The Galleria opens two hours before most performances, and guests are encouraged to arrive at least 20 minutes before showtime.

Good to Know: Strictly 21+.  Located beneath Friends on Ponce, Drunken Unicorn is an intimate basement music venue known for hosting indie rock, punk, alternative, hip-hop, electronic, local artists, and themed dance parties. The venue is standing room only and features a full-service bar.

Terminal West

Good to Know: Located inside the King Plow Arts Center, Terminal West is a standing-room concert venue housed in a former iron smelting room that retains many of its original industrial features. Most shows are general admission standing room only, although select events offer seating as noted in the event listing. Stationside, the venue's restaurant and bar, is open from doors until the headliner takes the stage for concert attendees. Some shows are all ages, while others are 18+ (guests under 18 may attend 18+ shows when accompanied by a parent). An outdoor upper deck is available during shows.

Masquerade

Good to Know: Since opening in 1989, The Masquerade has hosted legendary artists including Nirvana, Radiohead, Foo Fighters, Nine Inch Nails, Soundgarden, and Future, while also serving as the original home of Warped Tour, Shaky Knees, and One Music Fest. Today, the venue features four separate concert rooms surrounding an outdoor courtyard. Most shows are general admission standing, though room configurations may vary by event. The courtyard offers additional bars and serves as a gathering space before and after shows. Small bags (under 12") are permitted and subject to search.

The Tabernacle

Good to Know: Originally built as a church in 1911, the Tabernacle was transformed into a concert venue for the 1996 Olympic Games while preserving much of its historic architecture. Most concerts feature a general admission standing floor with reserved seating in the balconies, while some shows are fully seated. The venue is cashless and offers multiple bars throughout the building, The Room VIP Lounge, Fast Lane entry, premium seating upgrades, and coat check for select events. Mobile tickets are required, doors typically open one hour before showtime, and re-entry is not permitted. Guests may bring one empty reusable plastic water bottle (up to 24 oz.) to use at the venue's refill stations.

Good to Know: Located within Georgia State University, the Rialto Center for the Arts is a historic performing arts venue that hosts concerts spanning jazz, world music, blues, classical, and other live performances. Guests are encouraged to arrive at least 20 minutes before showtime.

The Eastern

Good to Know: The Eastern features a large main floor (below entrance level) and three balcony levels, with an upper tier that includes stadium-style seating. Some concerts include reserved balcony seating or folding chairs on the main floor, while others are entirely general admission. Multiple bars are located throughout the venue on the lower and upper levels, but food is not served during concerts.

Good to Know: 529 is a standing-room-only venue with the stage at one end of the room. A second bar was added during the venue's expansion, and a closed-circuit TV above the main bar lets you keep an eye on the performance while ordering a drink. The front patio also has bar access, making it easy to step outside without completely missing the show.

Blind Willie's Blues Club

Good to Know: Blind Willie's combines a full-service restaurant and bar with live blues performances in an intimate setting. Seating is limited, so arriving before the music begins gives you the best chance of getting a table close to the stage. Doors typically open at 7 PM (5 PM on Sundays), with shows beginning between 8:00–9:00 PM most nights. The club is closed on Mondays except for occasional special events.

Eddie's Attic

Good to Know: Eddie's Attic is an intimate upstairs listening room in Decatur Square. The venue is accessed by two flights of stairs. Audience members are expected to remain quiet during performances, making it one of Atlanta's premier venues for acoustic and singer-songwriter shows. Seating includes reserved tables closest to the stage, rear bleacher seating, bar seating, and limited standing room. A separate lounge is available for merchandise, phone calls, or conversations during the show. Guests receive a hand stamp upon entry, allowing them to leave and re-enter throughout the evening.

Avon Theater

Good to Know: Located in the Historic Avondale Estates Tudor Village, the Avon Theater has been a live performance venue since 1938. Artists who have performed here include Elvis Presley, The Allman Brothers Band, R.E.M., and The B-52s. The venue features a full bar on the main floor, with a second bar on the balcony level available during select sold-out shows.  Most shows are all ages and doors generally open one hour before showtime.

Buckhead Theatre

Good to Know: Originally opened in 1930, Buckhead Theatre is a historic venue hosting concerts across a wide range of genres. Most shows feature general admission standing on the main floor with reserved balcony seating, while select performances offer seated floor arrangements. The venue features three full-service bars—two on the main level and one upstairs—as well as a food menu with American fare available at the main bar. Fast Lane passes are available for expedited entry, and Lounge passes include early entry, access to a premium lounge with private bars and seating, and complimentary bites for select shows. Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre

Good to Know: Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre is a modern performing arts venue featuring 2,750 seats. The venue hosts concerts, Broadway productions, comedy, ballet, opera, and other live performances. All performances are seated. Concession areas on every level serve snacks, light meals, beer, wine, cocktails, and non-alcoholic beverages. The venue is cashless, with mobile ticketing available for most performances. Good to Know: Lakewood Amphitheatre is a large outdoor Live Nation venue featuring reserved seating under the pavilion and a general admission lawn. Most concerts use mobile ticketing, and the venue is cashless. Lawn seating is first come, first served. Tailgate parking is available for select events with advance purchase. Guests may bring one factory-sealed water bottle (up to 1 liter) or an empty reusable plastic water bottle to use at the complimentary refill stations. Clear bag policies apply, and re-entry is not permitted.

👥 Capacity: 19,000 (Standing/Seated) 

🅿️ Parking: Paid parking is available in the venue's official lots, with Premier, Reserved, and Tailgate parking available for advance purchase. General parking is also available on event days. 

🍔 Food & Drinks: There are no restaurants within easy walking distance of the venue. Most concertgoers eat before arriving or purchase food from the venue's concession stands.

St. James Live

Good to Know: St. James Live is an intimate supper club-style venue specializing in jazz, R&B, soul, and tribute performances. All shows are seated with table service, and every guest must purchase a ticket for entry. A full dinner menu, craft cocktails, beer, and wine are available throughout the show. The venue has a business casual dress code, is 21+, and frequently hosts two performances on Friday and Saturday evenings. Parking is shared with neighboring businesses and can fill quickly.
